In Spirit

We are immersed in Spirit, our essence is Spirit, and our purpose is to live in awareness of It.

Why do we believe this way?

  • Jesus said:  “God is Spirit”, the Divine Breath of life.
  • Our spiritual discipline helps us understand the way of Spirit in daily living.
  • We create order, peace and harmony as we align our daily actions with our spiritual discipline.
  • The Spirit of God breathes through us; we align our heart and mind with the breath of God.

How does USLC demonstrate this value?

  • USLC begins all gatherings with prayer.
  • USLC teaches spiritual principles and practices such as meditation and prayer to help individuals cultivate their communion with Spirit.
  • USLC’s Sunday service opens minds and hearts to Spirit.
  • USLC offers activities and events to expand our awareness.

How do I as an individual live this value?

  • Through my daily spiritual practice I come to understand that I AM immersed in God’s presence.
  • I recognize the Divine in myself and others.  Namastè
  • I own my inner peace; I am willing to evolve to my highest self; I understand reverence and prayerfulness are key in my spiritual journey.
  • Centered in God, I take life’s challenges and celebrations into my prayer practice.  I stay prayed up.
    I complete classes and workshops that support my spiritual growth.

Our Second Core Value is Love

We live, move and have our being in Love, the Divine Energy!

Why do we believe this way?

  • Love is our source of being; a vehicle through which God is expressed
  • Love is a magnet, which draws people together.
  • Love is unlimited, patient, kind, accepting and unconditional.

How does USLC demonstrate this value?

  • USLC is open and welcoming to all.
  • USLC embraces diversity and respects all spiritual paths.  We acknowledge the Christ within and follow Jesus’ teaching of love and acceptance.
  • USLC’s spiritual community fosters fellowship, connection and the sharing of ideas, gifts and talents.
  • USLC’s leadership models the respect of all people wherever they are on their path, through loving words and actions.

How do I as an individual live this value?

  • I open myself to God’s love flowing through me.
  • As I love myself I radiate love, which draws more love to me.
  • I recognize all behavior is either love or a call for love, therefore I respond in love.  
  • I take life’s challenges and hold them in love.
  • I AM loving and supportive and practice forgiveness.

Our Third Core Value is Authenticity

We live in integrity and in the fullness of our true selves

By being our true selves we connect to the Divine and allow Its essence to express Itself through us into the world.

How does USLC demonstrate this value?

  • USLC sets our intention through study, prayer and meditation to live in integrity.
  • USLC creates an environment for people to be their authentic selves.
  • USLC’s board members, ministry team leaders and members practice their roles and responsibilities with commitment, honesty and respect.
  • USLC’s board of trustees is transparent, encourages input from everyone and communicates decisions to the congregation in a timely manner.

How do I as an individual live this value?

  • I fit my daily actions to my beliefs.  I own my thoughts, words and deeds.
  • I complete classes and workshops that celebrate who I AM.
  • I apply prayer and healing to bring forth my true self.
  • I resolve disagreements by speaking lovingly, openly and directly to those with whom I have conflict.

Our Fourth Core Value is Openness

We are open and receptive to the living Spirit of Truth; we welcome everyone and honor all spiritual paths.

Why do we believe this way?

  • Our openness draws people to our community, creates a sense of connection with others in an inclusive, supportive environment.
  • Our willingness to be open to new ideas and other people helps us to understand our Oneness and our inter-connectedness with all life.
  • We join together in unity of purpose sharing of our light and talent creating synergy that ripples out into the Living Matrix that is our reality.

How does USLC demonstrate this value?

  • USLC’s welcoming team speaks with newcomers, invites them to lunch and introduces them to others.
  • USLC interacts with the larger metaphysical community for mutual benefit and growth.
  • USLC is actively involved with the Interfaith Alliance of Oklahoma.
  • USLC offers a variety of activities that brings our community together in fellowship.
  • USLC’s bookstore offers a multitude of diverse spiritual material for personal growth from around the world.

How do I as an individual live this value?

  • I reach out to others with warmth and kindness.
  • I am open to serving my community where I am called.
  • I support our spiritual community’s activities and invite others to participate.
  • I listen to others with understanding of the path they have traveled and respect their opinions.

Our Fifth Core Value is Prosperity 

We are in the flow of life and connected to Creative Source.

Why do we believe this way?

  • We create prosperity in ourselves and inspire others when we align with Spirit in body, mind and soul.
  • We create our reality through the power of our faith.
  • God is the source, supply and substance that underlies our prosperity.

How does USLC demonstrate this value?

  • USLC is fully engaged in the Transformational Experience program, creating a growing, thriving, and evolving church community.
  • USLC offers ongoing courses on experiencing the all-sufficiency of every good thing the heart desires.
  • USLC demonstrates prosperity through tithing time, treasures and talents.

How do I as an individual live this value?

  • I am committed to the Transformational Experience; I participate in teams that further the growth of our community.
  • I do those things, which are mine to do in creating my prosperity, and allow God’s love and wisdom to guide me.
  • I take responsibility for my individual prosperity.  I participate in classes and workshops on prosperity.
  • I tithe my time, talent and treasure with the intention to serve.
