The Creative Life – 7 Keys to your Inner Genius

                                        by Eric Butterworth

Butterworth takes the Creation story from Genesis (Chapters I and II) and ties each of the seven days of creation with seven steps in the creative process. The Genesis story of creation

s not a literal or historical account, but is a spiritual interpretation of the act of creation that is happening in all of us now.

In Step I, God said “Let there be light.” God, as Love/Energy/Light surrounds us and is within us. We are linked with God in Divine Mind, and are co-creators with God. If we become conscious of the Light within, then we truly see what is possible.

Following Step I, there are six others, each of them leading us further into the way of releasing our creativity. All of us are already full of this creative energy. There is nothing we need to do to get it. What we need to learn is how to let go of whatever is blocking us from being able to release our creativity into manifestation.

We have a tendency to let the ego interfere with our knowledge of what we want to manifest on a spiritual level. Instead, we focus on the material plane. We set goals such as getting a new house, new car, a certain relationship, etc., and miss out on our true power of creating as a spiritual being, One with God.

Worry over what could go wrong is another way we end up actually bringing into reality the very situation we dread. Our thoughts create our reality.

Our creativity needs to be released by the “I AM” that we are with the Divine Mind. We cannot be creative by forcing it to take a certain form that our ego has decided upon. The Divine creative will flow naturally from us.

Many of us grew up being taught that God is an anthropomorphic being that was separate and more powerful than us. Butterworth asks us to realize that God, instead, is a constant and everlasting flow of

Love/Energy that we are immersed in. If we can grasp this concept, we are on our way to learning how to co-create with this flow of Love as we are meant to do.

Namaste!
