Each day is a New Beginning. It is a new beginning in our search for Spirit’s wonder and goodness. The only way we can find It is if we set the intention to find It. That’s what JC said, “The Time is Now, the Kingdom of Heaven is within your Grasp, Turn to it and Believe in The Good News.” Later he would say, “In all things, seek first, the Kingdom of Goodness and Its Harmony and Balance and every good thing your heart desires will come onto you!”
A New Beginning is a phrase that has been popping into my head, when I have taken time off recently, to rest in the Creative Vortex, feeling the energy of the swirling winds that ego mind stirs up. As I ride my bike around Lake Hefner, watching the sparkling waters, feeling the cool morning breeze; being present to the Life around me, the phrase “a New Beginning” comes to mind. I look for Its presence and wonder emerging from the field of Living Energy.” As I do, I allow that intuitive voice to speak to me, I can feel the tension It creates within me, I can feel Its wonder, Its intrigue, Its mystery stirring in my soul and throughout my whole being. Oddly enough, as I do I haven’t allowed the voice of fear, the voice of the shadowy collective consciousness taunt me! I just recognize it, and say “Begone,” as I pause in the moment and affirm, “I am immersed in the Presence of the Divine, the healing renewing life of the Divine fills and feels every cell of my being.I am the place that God shines through, for God and I are one not two, I need not fear nor fret nor plan!!!! For God needs me right where I am and if I am relaxed and free, God will do a mighty work through me.” I just focus on that Presence and allow It to lift me!
A New Beginning is at hand each moment as I wake up! As I affirm It and allow my self the time off to rest within the moment and to feel Its Presence, to feel the tension of the Creative Vortex stir up, it has empowered me to see the potential and creative ideas that exist in the sea of Infinite possibilties.
As I reflect on the thoughts, feelings and inspiration that flow through me, as I ride my bike around Lake Hefner, I think of a parable Jesus shared. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and caught fish of every kind; when it was full, they drew it ashore, sat down, and put the good into baskets but threw out the bad. So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous and throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Have you understood all this?” (Matt 13:47-49).
The first time I read this percept I said, “Wow, what really harsh words!” But as I reflect on the metaphysical meaning and this time of new beginnings, it has transformed my awareness. It is about the use of denials and affirmations. Lake Hefner, the sea, represents the realm of unexpressed potential, the sea of infinite possibilities that surrounds and enfolds us! When we pray and allow ourselves to go into the creative vortex, we are taking our boat, the place we consciously dwell, out onto the sea of unexpressed potential and we cast our nets – our thoughts – out into the sea, and we gather fish of every kind. Fish are symbolic of Divine Ideas. But as opposed to allowing those Divine ideas to run away with us out there on the Sea of Infinite Possibilities, creating stories of what could be, we need to bring those nets filled with ideas to the shore. The shore represents a space that exists between the sea of unexpressed potential and our manifest physical reality. At this space where the unexpressed and the manifest come together we need to sort our fish and our thoughts out! Taking those we do not want (the bad) and casting them out, denying their power over us and releasing back to the invisible ethers, “burning them up!” While taking the fish, the Divine Ideas, we might like and put them into a basket where we keep them and hold them sacred. And that is what I have been doing in this time of new beginnings as I rest in the creative vortex in my time apart.
